I have an 07 plate Renault Scenic 1.6 Dynamique VVT. I love the car but it is causing me so many problems. The latest in the catalogue is that it won't start whether I use the clutch pedal or brake pedal + the start button. Bizarrely it was starting if I used the brake pedal instead of the clutch which I usually use.  I have been told that it is the flywheel sensor? which will cost about £85 + VAT but the problem is getting the car to the garage to get fixed when it won't start!! I do have breakdown cover but don't know if they will take me to the garage of my choice. Previously it was the crankshaft sensor. I have done 140,000 miles in it. My car is everything to me in getting to work and for getting out socially and visiting my daughter who doesn't live nearby. I would hate to get rid of it as it's worth more on the road to me than not.
