Faults, Problems and Solutions / Fault code P0120« Last post by Dpowell on October 24, 2019, 05:33:18 am »I worked on a 2001 scenic with F4R746 2.0 engine. It was in limp mode with only one fault code (P0120). It was a simple repair. I replaced the app sensor located under the brake master cylinder. I found a used sensor for $10 locally as online prices varied wildly. Hopefully this post will save someone some time.

Scenic Discussion / Scenic ll« Last post by Armond Jerome Peroni on March 26, 2019, 05:22:40 pm »Hi fellow Scenic ll owners,
I've owned my 2008 Scenic ll for 9 years now,it's a 1.6 auto and I hardly do anything to it apart from the usual maintenance. Had the gearbox fault flash up 18 months ago and changed the solenoid in the gearbox(£30.00 from eBay )myself and has been good as gold since. Went for its M.O.T. last week and the only advisory was one of the rear shock absorbers had a slight misting of oil so will get that sorted. Keep thinking about having a change but it never gives me any real problems or costs me too much so I'll keep it. Enjoy the Scenic ll. 46

Suspension, Brakes, Wheels and Tyres / Re: Parking brake not working« Last post by nordcorescenic on March 13, 2019, 01:20:25 pm »check out the plug of the parking brake (at the spare wheel well) more exactly, often here is a cable break or oxidation.
Also have the parking brake switch like a quirk or the central connector under the driver's seat (Under the carpet) is wet 48

Suspension, Brakes, Wheels and Tyres / Parking brake not working« Last post by PhilD90 on March 11, 2019, 07:49:09 pm »I was having my rear pads and discs changed on my 07 Scenic, when the mechanic noticed il need a new caliper on the passenger side. We ordered the new caliper on the Friday and it got there on Monday. The mechanic kept the electronic parking brake disconnected by disconnecting the battery over the weekend, until the part arrived. Monday came, he fitted all parts but then come into the problem of being unable to reconnect the electronic parking brake. He plugged it to to a diagnostic computer and was presented with a code and was unable to clear the codes and reconnect the hand brake. So I took my car to a separate garage and they too was baffled when they were presented with the same problem of being unable to clear the fault code that was appearing.
Have anyone had the same problem after changing their pads etc ? Any feedback will much appreciated 50
Scenic Discussion / Newbie« Last post by Ricardo Villa on March 04, 2019, 07:50:35 pm »Just in process of purchasing a 2013 Scenic 1.5dci XMod Dynamique Auto, looked and drove today going back tomorrow to finalise deal. Anything I should check or get done by garage before I accept. Mileage is 61,000. Should timing belt be done now? First look tyres look low, it needs a service and little paintwork but other than that it looks very good and was nice to drive. Surprisingly it has no parking sensors at all, are these easy to retrofit?
Any info appreciated, looks a good forum. Cheers |
